Microchip
Animal shleters report, of all the pets lost, only a surprising 2% of casts and 16% of dogs that are lost are returned to their owners.
The problem: No way to identify the owner of a lost pet.
The solution: Microchip technology solves pet identification challenges.
A small electronic device, the size of a grain of rice, is placed under the skin above the pet's shoulder.
This chip is not expensive and can be placed under the skin by your veterinarian quickly with minimal or no pain to your pet. Now, if your pet is lost, the animal shelter or veterinarian can use a hand held scanner to get your pet's identification number. A call to the national data registration will give your name and other information.
Please look into getting a microchip for your pet.
