Pet Sweating
Did you know that pets do not sweat to cool down like people do? Instead, pets lose most of their body heat through panting and through the pads on their feet. With this in mind, avoid jogging with your pet on hot paved surfaces, and when possible, run in shaded places. Wetting your pet’s coat and providing access to plenty of water also helps avoid overheating. Also, be aware that cats typically pant when they are experiencing stress.
