Overweight Cats
We all laugh at the cartoon cat, Garfield, and his fat, lazy ways…but if your cat is overweight, it's no laughing matter.

To tell whether your cat is too fat, first rub your cat's ribs. If the natural padding is enough to where you don't feel the ribs, your cat is overweight.

The concern of a cat being overweight is the increased chance of liver disease, heart disease, and bladder and urination problems.

For the severely overweight - the one that should be a ten-pound cat but is actually a twenty-pound kitty, the concern is life threatening pancreatitis or diabetes.
