Our Veterinarians

Dr. Angie Whitworth

Dr. Angie Whitworth was born in Australia and has lived in several South East Asian countries. She moved to the United States to attend college at the University of Arizona. She graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and has lived and practiced in Austin ever since. Her special interests include ophthalmology, preventive medicine, internal medicine, dentistry and geriatric medicine.  In her free time, she enjoys being with her husband and 3 young children.  Her fur children include 3 cats, L.B., Starla and Pumpkin Rider, with one not so furry bearded dragon, Rexy.

Dr. Rachael Dreibelbis

Dr. D graduated from Texas A&M in 2003 with a degree in Animal Science and went on to graduate from the College of Veterinary Medicine there in 2009.  She enjoys neurology, oncology, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. She has a special interest in geriatric medicine and hospice care for pets. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is getting to know so many different people and sharing a part in the special bond they have with their pets.  She grew up in Henderson, a small town in east Texas but has called Austin home for the past eight years. Dr. D has been married to her husband Justin for 8 years.  They have a 2 year old daughter named June and a newborn daughter named Jill. She is especially fond of the flat faced dogs and you will frequently find her fostering a Boston Terrier or two for a local rescue.  She likes spending time outside with her family on the beach and fishing the Texas coast. She also loves cooking, flea markets, Mexican food, and cheering on the Aggies!

Dr. Dalied Rodriguez

Dr. Rodríguez Ruiz is the newest addition to our team of wonderful doctors! She was born and raised in beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 2016 after completing her clinical year at the University of Florida. Dr. Rodríguez worked as a general practitioner in Puerto Rico for various months before deciding to further her education. She then completed a one-year rotating internship at VCA Animal Specialty Group in Los Angeles, California followed by a one-year surgical internship at Central Texas Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital in Austin, Texas. During these years, she developed a special interest for the fields of Surgery and Emergency and Critical Care. Dr. Rodríguez fell in love with the city of Austin and decided to move to downtown Austin in June 2018. In her spare time, she enjoys soaking up some sun at the pool, hiking, working out, and spending quality time with her French Bulldog, Lupita.

Lauderdale, FL prior to starting her career in general practice. Her professional interests include oncology, dermatology, pain management, and geriatric care. Dr. Smithee is glad to call Austin home again and in her spare time she enjoys yoga, running, trying new foods, and spending time outdoors in the sunshine.
